What Do We Do?

Our Mission

At Ray of Light Therapeutic Services CIC, our mission is to support the mental health and emotional wellbeing of children, young people, and families through high-quality, trauma-informed care. We work closely with schools, families, and communities to provide counselling and therapeutic support that is:

Developmentally attuned

Neurodiversity-affirming

Emotionally safe

Our services are currently offered at a fee, but we are actively seeking grants,

donations, and partnerships to make therapy more accessible in the future. Our goal is to ensure that no child, young person, parent, or school staff member is left without support.

Whether delivered in person or remotely, our interventions offer a Ray of Light:

Helping children and young people feel heard and understood Guiding families through

emotional challenges

Equipping schools to foster

inclusive, connected environments

We believe that healing happens in relationship, and that every individual deserves to be met with compassion, clarity, and care.

Our Approach

We take a child- and young-person-centred approach, tailoring each session to the unique needs of children and young people. Our methods include:

Play therapy

Creative arts

Talking Therapy

These approaches help children and young people explore their feelings, build

resilience, and develop positive mental health skills.

At the heart of everything we do are trust, safety, and emotional wellbeing. Currently, our services are delivered at a fee, either in person or remotely. This ensures we can provide high-quality, professional support while we work toward our goal of  offering free or low-cost therapy in the future.

How You Can Help

We are committed to offering free or low-cost therapy to children and young people who need it most, providing early intervention and support for families while

addressing long waiting lists.

To make this possible, we are seeking:

Partnerships with schools to deliver sustainable, funded programs

Support from donors, local businesses, and charities to fund free or part-funded sessions

With your help, we can provide therapy to every child and young person who needs it, ensuring that no one is left without support. You can donate today to help a child access the therapeutic support they deserve.

Together, we can make a lasting difference.
