Our Story

Ray of Light Therapeutic Services CIC was founded in memory 

of Leanne Ray — a truly remarkable safeguarding lead, SENCO, 

Assistant Head Teacher, mentor, and friend. Leanne dedicated 

her life to supporting children, families, and school staff with 

unwavering compassion, integrity, and care. Her kindness and commitment 

inspired everyone around her.

Following Leanne’s sudden passing in 2021, I made a personal promise to continue her work — offering trauma-informed, systemic, and child-centred support to 

children, young people, parents, carers, and school staff. Ray of Light exists to carry forward her legacy: ensuring every child, family, and professional feels supported, empowered, and heard.

We also provide guidance and reflective spaces for therapists working with children and young people, helping them extend their reach and make a meaningful 

difference in the lives of those they serve.

It is a profound honour to have called Leanne my friend. Naming this CIC after her is a tribute to the light she brought into so many lives — and a commitment to keep that light shining.
